Review
Strong fit for quickswap team structures, with minimal field time required
Provides reliable Break-based control, effective even against bosses
Converts team activity into damage through Support Skill synergy and Resonance scaling
Can recharge her Ultimate, if parrying using Phantom Steps or support skill if Phantom Step is available.
Can fit in a lot of teams.
She can help with increasing traffic and reducing ingredient consumption rate for Shop Management and an Owner’s Selection ability to help with the minigame.
Requires high rotation discipline, since most of her damage scaling depends on frequent swapping.
Does not perform as well in low switching teams.
Break damage is contribution-based, so she loses a lot of value if the team is not built around Break.
Daffodil is a Chaos attribute Damage role character who focuses on high Break Damage and quick swapping, requiring very low field time. While she is on the field, she is mainly focused on maintaining Break pressure without interruption.
She primarily uses offensive engagement to break enemies. Light Prism boosts her Break Damage by 20%. Her Redirect Skill: Resonance deals damage, grants Resonance stacks, and increases DMG and Break whenever an ally uses a Support Skill. Each stack further amplifies both, and at maximum stacks it is replaced by Echoes, a strong attack.
This is also why she wants to get into Break and switch so much, because her kit promotes using allies’ Support Skills to stack Resonance, which involves swapping characters in and out.
The rest of her kit is designed to quickly attack and break enemies while focusing on Break damage.
Her attacks are supported by Displaced Edge, which allows a unique dodge without interrupting her combo and gives her invincibility.
Her Ultimate Finale deals damage, increases damage, and also inflicts Insight, which lets you deal even more Break Damage. It also unlocks Phantom Step during the fight, which activates automatically when you switch to Daffodil from another character. It deals high damage and Break, and if you use it to successfully parry an opponent, you get a full ultimate recharge.
If you want to use her even better, you’d want to make sure she can get Discord going on the team, as she has a special enhancement that helps Break the opponent even faster.
In general, she excels in quick-swap teams where allies can make full use of short field time. Daffodil only needs brief on-field presence to deal strong Break damage before swapping out smoothly, making her well-suited for rotations with continuous effects. Her high burst damage in short windows, enemy control through Break, and minimal field time requirements make her a strong option in various teams.

Awakenings & Calcs
In NTE, you can freely choose Awakening Effects, so you are not forced to unlock them in a specific order, and you can unselect them at any time.
Perfect Truth (A5) > Assembly of Creations (A3) > In Concealment (A4) > Bloom in the Lake (A6) > Eye (A1) > Mechanical March (A2)
Daffodil’s awakenings are very good, but since she is S rank, you likely won’t be getting all of her copies. However, some of them work very well in combination with each other, like Perfect Truth (A5) + Assembly of Creations (A3), and adding In Concealment (A4) on top of that makes it an even higher increase.
In Concealment (A4), however, is not a very good one to prioritize as your first two awakenings, as it works much better with Assembly of Creations (A3). In Concealment (A4) increases your damage while the opponent is under Insight, and Assembly of Creations (A3) prevents Insight from being removed once applied and lets you stack it, giving a big damage boost.
Perfect Truth (A5) is the first skill you should pick, though, as the damage increase it gives on its own is quite good. You deal more Break Damage, and it really adds up fast. It is one of the stronger awakenings you can get for a character, and the damage shows.
R2 (6 Awakenings) which most people won’t get as she is a S Rank, allows her to reduce the target’s Chaos Res when they enter Break which does help deal more damage.
Daffodill dupe calculations show the relative gain of each Awakening compared to the 'base' character without any active.
This boosts Resonance's damage and Break per Support Skill cast. It's a decent pickup that adds to what she's already doing, though it sits lower on the priority list for a reason.
This deals damage, generates Break, and fully recharges her Ultimate on the final hit if Phantom Step fails to counter. It's a nice safety net for when your parry timing is off but it doesn't really add anything to her kit in a meaningful way, so there's no rush to grab this one at all.
This stops Insight from being removed once you apply it and lets it stack up on the target multiple times. It's a solid awakening on its own, but it also pairs really well with In Concealment since that one specifically benefits from having Insight stacked up, making these two a natural combo to grab together.
This increases her Break DMG for each stack of Insight on the target when they enter Break. This one is not a great first pickup on its own since it works much better once A3 is already letting Insight stack freely, essentially much better with A3, so grab this when you have that.
This deals an extra instance of Break Damage for every Insight stack on the target when they enter Break. This is almost the core of what makes Daffodil hit so hard, the damage it adds is really strong on its own and it only gets better the more you invest into her kit, so this is always your first pickup and it's not really close.
This lets her ignore a chunk of the target's DEF across all her hits with no conditions attached. It's a straightforward and reliable damage boost, not as high priority as most of the others.
R3 is a generic skill level increase, and all calculations are Raw Gain with no other Awakens included.
When a target enters Break their Chaos RES gets reduced, letting your Chaos units deal more damage to them. Since breaking enemies is literally what Daffodil is built around, this applies incredibly naturally to her playstyle and is a great bonus for Chaos focused teams. Calculations are Raw Gain with no other Awakens included.
