Review
Freya’s kit has everything: from buffs to debuffs, and healing. She revolves around increasing allies’ turn meter whenever an ally receives a buff (from anyone), and decreasing the enemies’ turn meter when an enemy receives a debuff (from anyone) with a 70% chance, up to a 12% turn meter reduction or increase per skill. Furthermore, when Freya herself receives buffs or applies debuffs, the amount is doubled, up to 24%, allowing her to do some nasty turn meter manipulation.
She also has two unique status effects: a buff called [Dreamweave] and a debuff called [Nightmare]:
[Dreamweave] will cleanse a debuff on an ally once, stacking up to three times; however, it does not automatically cleanse debuffs applied before gaining stacks of [Dreamweave].
[Nightmare] increases the damage enemies take, and heals allies for 15% of the damage they dealt to someone with the debuff.
On top of this, she can also apply AOE [DEF+] and AOE [ATK+], allowing her to be a very versatile support unit.
She’s very useful in PVE modes, being an easy slot in on enemies that can have their turn meter lowered. However, as the chance to proc the 4% turn meter decrease is only 70%, you're forced to build a lot of Effect ACC on her, and even with it, you're still at the mercy of RNG.
Freya can be very annoying with a unit like Heinrich as he’s able to make use of Freya’s [Dream Inducer] passive in an AOE fashion with his S2 and S3, allowing Heinrich to block or strip buffs, while also lowering their turn meter. If you want a toxic combination, Rosa’s S3 is an AOE [SPD-], so when comboing that with Freya’s turn meter reduction, it can get crazy very quickly.
However, debuff immunity is Freya’s achilles’ heel, so in PVP, units like Helkid will be a bad matchup for Freya (which is why Heinrich removing barriers will make for a good combo!)
Has both great buffs and debuffs,
Allows allies to heal themselves by dealing damage,
Can manipulate the turn meter both for allies and enemies,
Great synergy with other debuffers.
Struggles against enemies with debuff Immunity,
Can't act as a dedicated healer because supportive characters don't attack often, so they won't benefit from the leech.
Build
For Early Game build tips when it comes to what modules and Shells to use before you start farming Red rarity, check our dedicated guide:
1
Grants the wearer 700 DEF for 2 turns, as well as applying a sizable shield to an ally for 2 turns. It has a 1-turn initial cooldown, but after that, it will maintain the 700 DEF buff 66% of the time and keep the shield active often. Primarily used on dedicated DEF scalers.

Grants the wearer a 35% gauge boost for every 3 enemy actions that occur, once per turn. A solid choice for Supports in content that sees multiple enemies acting per one turn of the wearer. Loses value against singular enemies or enemies that move slowly or not at all (due to control effects).

Widely used and incredibly potent all-around supportive option, granting a 25% gauge boost on use as well as [SPD+] boost with 100% uptime. It also deals decent damage when used. Possesses most of the best supportive matrixes, further adding to its flexibility and wide use cases. Loses most of its value when used in teams that already have a team member granting the [SPD+] buff with good uptime.
A top tier option for Freya when played in teams that don't already have easy access to a SPD buff from characters like Lily. Will allow Freya to cycle much more quickly while also having excellent SPD based Matrix set options. Loses much of its potency if its SPD buff is already covered though.

A more rng alternative to the generic Jackal setup, mostly used for speed tuning and getting extra CD reduction with good rng.

Default speed freya, make her go 340+ if you want to outspeed the truly fast Lilys and Turandots, if you are not facing things of that caliber yet then go for 330-335, it should outspeed things in the low 360 range.
Best Module Sets:
2
A strong personal sustain option for characters, granting them a 25% max HP restore and 35% gauge boost upon taking hits within a single turn greater than 25% of their max HP (on a 2-turn cooldown). Has situational use in PVE but shines the most in PVP, granting your teams extra healing and gauge boost on a semi-frequent cooldown.
Best Module Sets:
3
Allows the wearer to cheat death once every 6 turns. Upon dying, they will instead recover 60% HP and enter a special state, becoming immune to turn meter reductions, debuffs, buffs, and also gaining 200% increased DEF until the start of their next turn. A powerful option for keeping vulnerable high-value units alive in PVP.
Best Module Sets:
Speed, Effect ACC, HP%, DEF%, HP, DEF
For Freya, focus on getting Effect ACC main stat. One HP or DEF main stat can help in case needed some tank stats. The most important sub stat to this animus is speed so try to get as much as you can but try to always make it slower than your Dispeller.
