Grand Treasure Hunt
The Grand Treasure Hunt is a weekly event that you can spend Auroradrasil Energy on to unlock reward tiers. Auroadrasil Energy can carry over between each event period, so you won’t have to spend all of your energy each week.
How this event works is that you can earn around 2250 Auroradrasil Energy per week. 2240 comes from the quests you can do during the event, and the final 10 comes from free packs in the shop.
Getting to the final tier of rewards would cost you 2040 Aurodrasil Energy. Going beyond that, Level 5 of the rewards contains purchasable items that would cost you an additional 1200 Aurodrasil Energy, depending on how many you want.
Generally speaking, you’d want to save up Aurodrasil Energy across multiple weeks so you can afford more expensive Level 5 items or wait for better rotating rewards. Level 5 would only feature one rotating item that changes per week. From that one item, it is where the best rewards are usually at, which would include Paid Pulls and Relics that make farming easier.
F2P Players cannot reach the final tier of rewards every single week. This applies even if you’re also a low spender. As such, you have 2 strategies to save up for the Level 5 rewards:
You can spend your Aurodrasil Energy every 2 weeks, which would be a total of 4440 currency. This will get you 2 Level 5 items.
You can spend your Aurodrasil Energy every 3 weeks, which would cost a total of 5640 currency and get you all Level 5 items.
What rewards to pick?
With all of this being said, we will now cover what to buy from the event:
Level 1 - Basic Treats should be your main focus, as they’re harder to come by when compared to the other rewards. There is no harm in getting Iron and/or Chronos Sand, though, as they would also increase your Combat Power.
Level 2 - Prioritize Gifts for Companions. There will be a LOT of Companions that you have to level up, and you’ll never have enough items to give them.
Level 3 - Starting here, you’ll begin getting rewards that, overall, don’t really matter for what you pick, as they all would provide upgrades for your account. You could get Destiny Fruit since it would increase chances of getting bosses, merchants, and great rewards with them, but also getting more Gifts for Companions wouldn’t hurt as well.
Level 4 - From this pool, the Legendary Auroral Badges are exclusively Paid items, so they are important to get. DO NOT get Stellatie or Bond Trinkets as they’re both available for F2P players. It would be a huge waste to get them.
Level 5 - There are no bad choices on this tier, so it would be good to always check if you need the rewards available before you decide to spend. Also, the leftmost reward rotates every week. When you see the Lucky Statue there, it is highly recommended to get it as it makes the daily grind easier.
