Build Guide - Warrior
Depending on your luck and budget, the skills you have available to you at the start of the game will vary. Also, some encounters demand different types of skills or damage types as well. Because of this, there is no one-size-fits-all build for all content; instead, it’s better to understand all the strongest skills Warrior has to offer and use the ones your account has to build what’s best for you at the time.
Aoe Build
Skills:
Leap Attack - Open Combo Tech. It has weird AoE (only 4 targets max), low damage, but it comes with a benefit: Chance to reduce enemies’ Defense by 30%. That’s a lot!
Whirlwind Slash - The best AoE skill of the Warrior. It deals a very high amount of damage (as an AoE skill), and with 4x instances of damage, you can put Blade Tempest to deal even higher.
Quadrant Slash - Deals even higher damage than
Whirlwind Slash but to fewer targets (max 4 targets in a cross). At least it synergizes well with
Leap Attack (same targeting pattern).
Mountain Collapse - The biggest AoE skill of the warrior (2x bigger than
Whirlwind Slash ), but it has lower damage, and it knocks enemies back. Since it has Knockback, it must be at the final spot in skill order, else you will reduce the effectiveness of other AoE skills.
Passives:
Block Awareness - The main survival tool of Warrior T1. Equip it immediately. Once an attack is blocked, it will be reduced by 50% and also can’t crit.
Counter Blade - Funny enough, this Charm is actually the main source of damage for Warrior T1. It’s because most of Warrior’s Tech in AoE are either very small or deal low damage. And
Counter Blade has 2 - good AoE + good damage.
Blade of Lament - Very good Charm, scales even better as you progress because it’s Lifesteal. This Charm may prolong your life 1 or 2 turns, so let’s hope you finish the stage before that.
Strength Rules - For Warrior, their kits are mostly Physical, so this Charm will help. For some reason, Physical Mastery > Crit here (Insightful Eye), which is quite different from Mage (Crit > Element Mastery).
Alternative options:
Iron Fortress - Going full damage always helps (because you will never be able to out-tank enemies as you progress), but sometimes
Iron Fortress will help you push through hard stages better than
Strength Rules. Just try some setups and see which works for you.
ST Build
Skills:
Heavy Impact - Warrior is horrible at AoE true, but when it comes to Single-target, it takes 2 Mages to even match the DPS of a Warrior. Here comes the
Heavy Impact, the first low-tier Tech, which requires 2 turns CD due to its insane modifier. It is also the strongest DPS Tech, even if you divide its modifier by 3 turns.
Edge Strike - The 3 Techs below have roughly the same modifier, assuming they have the same rarity level. Since we are looking for the best ST setup, just use all 3.
Lion Combo - This Tech cuts enemy 3 times, so you can put
Blade Tempest to further enhance your output.
Phantom Assault - The best kiting Tech for a Warrior (why?). It deals very good damage too, so just put it in the final spot.
Note that this Charm won’t go well with
Phantom Assault if you fight a Range boss who tends to stay at a place, because Counter Blade requires enemies to stay in Melee range to return damage. In that case, replace
Phantom Assault with
Leap Attack and put it first.
Blade Tempest - Can replace
Strength Rules here against Wind-weak enemies. But most of the time, we recommend sticking to Physical Mastery, because early on, your Warrior won’t have enough Element Mastery to make Elementary Tech/Charm work.
