Review
This year, Avistar has been appointed the role of the bi-annual freebie SSR to help new players progress past the lvl160 wall. This electric element B1 unit wields a Machine Gun, and offers a unique playstyle surrounding buffing her favourite pop star, the hyper-meta B1 — Anis: Star!
Avistar is a Re-Enter B1 unit, the first of its kind in freebie units. She is a Supporter type, so the values of her buffs could decide her fate in the meta! But are the numbers impactful enough? Is Shift Up really going to give us a good FREE unit? The answer is unfortunately: No. Let's find out why together:
Avistar’s skills showcase big numbers. She buffs Anis with a high value ~80% ATK buff… but it only activates when full burst ends, and she removes this buff when full burst starts again?? Why?
Ok, but that's just the first part of the story. She is also an excellent healer… but only for herself! She increases her max HP (when she bursts) to heal herself, and will also heal herself over time thanks to her Skill 1. If she's above 25% HP, she does not heal herself a lot, but if she's under a quarter of her max HP while entering burst, she gains extra healing since her Max HP buff isn't reduced, which for some reason is a thing?
To end this piece, we also have to look at the only actual line of buffs that Avistar provides Anis with. A solid Attack Damage buff, paired with a solid Projectile Explosion Damage buff, form a collection of buffs consistently provided to Anis: Star through Avistar. These buffs are able to buff Anis ‘nicely’, and can help form a proper raid team for newer players who want to spread out the units they have built over 3-5 teams; we can see Avistar being used.
In the overall meta, however, it's as we already expected. Avistar is not usable in the slightest (except if you are a beginner and lack any units). Anis paired with Crown, or any other general B2 Buffer for the matter (like Nayuta, Ade, Maids) to receive buffs without a Re-Enter unit is already a better way to improve her damage. Anis herself can buff other DPS as well. The fact of the matter is: There are more than enough units in 2026 who are able to provide more to overall damage dealt than Avistar
Note that Avistar is a welfare unit given to all participants of Nikke’s 3.5th Anniversary Event. She is unobtainable by other means, except through logging in and completing particular missions during the event, or by waiting for the next Half Anniversary, and using the dupe-box for the freebie unit dupes!
Buffs the best B1-DPS, Anis: Star.
Provided a decent Attack Damage and Projectile Damage buff to her idol.
Has self-heal, which helps her stay alive against most damage dealt against her.
Me and Avistar have the same favourite idol! [Snake]
Can only buff one unit, otherwise useless.
Does not work with other Anis variants.
Most of her buffs somehow shoot themselves out of the picture.
Avistar and I do not have the same favourite idol. [Gatrix]
Investment Tips
There is no need to overload her gear. At best, you want to give her 4 rocks to upgrade her basic gear to overload gear. But it comes at the lowest possible priority, AFTER the overall meta has already been invested into!

PVE Comment
Avistar fans or early game players may find use out of Avistar in Solo Raids or Union Raids (or even Campaign), where they might be able to make a team revolving around buffing Anis: Star only, allowing her to deal massive damage!
