Review
Helkid is a fantastic Sustain and Debuffer hybrid who also packs a punch.
His whole kit revolves around the unique Shield he can apply via his S3 skill - the shield is team-wide, and it has a special perk that provides Immunity to debuffs while it's active. The barrier's capacity scales with his ATK, which enables you to build him a bit more offensively - but you should still focus on Speed and Effect ACC first (to land the debuffs on his S1 and S2). Speed is really important, as if your Helkid is slow and enemies move before him, he won't protect anyone.
Helkid is your typical bruiser that can protect the team, hinder enemies, and hit them decently hard - still with how much different stats he wants, he never will be a main DPS material, and more of a sub DPS. But that's more than enough. His kit makes him a menace in PVP, but he still works decently well in PVE content due to his versatility.
Just keep in mind that his S2 only refills his own shield, not the team's shield. So he needs to be able to 'cycle' fast, to continue protecting the team.
His Shield is chunky and offers debuff immunity to the whole team,
Can Stun and reduce ATK of enemies,
Can be built as pure shield support/debuffer or a sub-dps, giving you a lot of options to use him.
Very annoying to build - you want ATK for the shield, Effect ACC for the debuffs, and Crit Rate/Crit DMG to deal good damage. Trying to balance that will be annoying,
Can only apply Shield to allies using S3.
Build
For Early Game build tips when it comes to what modules and Shells to use before you start farming Red rarity, check our dedicated guide:
1
An absurdly strong combo Shell that allows the wearer to skip the cooldown of the ability used on the turn this Shell is active. The wearer can use their ultimate or skill twice back to back, unlocking usually impossible personal and team combos. Also grants the wearer a 10% SPD boost after use for 2 turns. Mainly used in PvE burst/combo compositions or PVP. Can be used on both Supports and DPS situationally.
Codex is the best option in short fights.
Best Module Sets:
2
Allows you to reduce cooldown of a random ability, improving the cycling abilities of the character.
Since Hellkid is very vulnerable without his S3, this Shell that allows him to get his S3 sooner can be very useful.
Best Module Sets:
3
Widely used and incredibly potent all-around supportive option, granting a 25% gauge boost on use as well as [SPD+] boost with 100% uptime. It also deals decent damage when used. Possesses most of the best supportive matrixes, further adding to its flexibility and wide use cases. Loses most of its value when used in teams that already have a team member granting the [SPD+] buff with good uptime.
Allows them to cycle their skills faster due to the Speed buff, as well as nice extra damage from the extra Attack it provides.

Speedy Helkid on Codex can be a really effective answer to heavy debuff teams or against some CC. While it's seeing a bit less play now due to the strength of straight Turn 1 Cleave, he is very potent vs teams with less burst damage or major Debuff/CC priority.
Best Module Sets:
Speed, ATK%
For Hellkid, focus on getting ATK main stat since his shields scale with it. As for sub stats focus on getting as much speed as possible to help him to cycle his skills.
Speed, ATK%, HP%, DEF%
Full speed ahead! And some atk.
